Washington golf is endlessly diverse — links, mountain, desert, forest, canyon, and everything in between. So we set out to build something special: a Dream 18 made entirely from real, signature holes at public courses across the state. Below is the Front 9, a par-37 layout stretching 3,684 yards from the tips.
HOLE 1 — Par 4 (484 Yards)
Palouse Ridge — Hole 3
Starting the Dream 18 with Hole 3 at Palouse Ridge feels perfect. Hole 3 is a long, sweeping par 4 carved through the rolling wheat fields of Pullman, delivering one of the purest opening-stretch visuals in Washington golf.
It’s demanding but fair: a generous landing area, firm fescue surrounds, and an elevated green that puts wedge control (or long-iron commitment) to the test. The hole perfectly captures what makes Eastern Washington golf so good — big skies, wide movement in the land, and a sense of total openness.
Why we chose it: It’s one of the best early-round par 4s in the state and sets the tone for a Dream 18 that blends scenery with shot value.

HOLE 2 — Par 4 (340 Yards)
Gamble Sands — Hole 2
Gamble Sands’ second hole is short-par-4 perfection: elevated tee box, massive fairway, and dramatic contours that feed balls toward the green in all sorts of fun ways.
But what makes this hole truly special is the expansive view out toward the Columbia River. With the desert landscape falling away in front of you, it’s easily one of the most breathtaking “grip it and rip it” tee shots in Washington.
Why we chose it: A drivable par 4 with world-class scenery and pure fun factor. A perfect contrast to the demanding opener.

HOLE 3 — Par 5 (483 Yards)
Druids Glen — Hole 2
A quintessential PNW par 5: tree-lined corridors, gentle elevation changes, and (on a clear day) Mount Rainier floating in the background. Hole 2 at Druids gives you room off the tee, but the green complex is well defended and rewards smart layup angles.
It’s a hole every skill level enjoys — you can attack it, but only if you pick the right spots.
Why we chose it: Classic Northwest golf energy: scenic, strategic, and memorable without needing gimmicks.

HOLE 4 — Par 3 (185 Yards)
Battle Creek — Hole 12 (“The Rock Hole”)
One of the most unique par 3s in Washington. Battle Creek’s 12th hole — known by locals as “The Rock Hole” — features a massive boulder sitting directly in the middle of your tee-shot sight line. It’s the kind of feature that makes you double-take the first time you play it.
Why we chose it: You’ll rarely see another par 3 like this. A quirky, memorable, and totally one-of-a-kind Washington golf moment.

HOLE 5 — Par 4 (434 Yards)
The Home Course — Hole 7
Hole 7 at The Home Course is all about positioning off the tee. You want to favor the left side of the fairway (even the left rough is better than right), because anything right risks fescue trouble and a difficult approach.
The second shot is the real highlight: a downhill approach over nearly 100 yards of water, with an incredible view of Mount Rainier in the distance on a clear day. It’s picturesque and challenging, all in one swing.
Why we chose it: One of the most scenic approach shots in Washington, with a premium on strategy and execution.

HOLE 6 — Par 3 (177 Yards)
Apple Tree — Hole 17
One of the most iconic greens in the entire Pacific Northwest. The apple-shaped island green at Apple Tree is instantly recognizable and equally intimidating. At 177 yards from the tips, it’s no simple flick — you have to commit to your number and your shot shape.
Miss short or left and you’re re-teing. Miss long and you’re scrambling from a tight lie.
Why we chose it: It’s one of the most iconic single green complexes in the state — unforgettable, dramatic, and a perfect signature-moment par 3 for our Dream 18.

HOLE 7 — Par 5 (576 Yards)
Desert Canyon — Hole 15
Hole 15 at Desert Canyon is one of the most dramatic par 5s in the state. The tee shot launches out toward sweeping canyon views with steep drop-offs framing the fairway.
Length matters here — it’s a true three-shot hole for most players, and the approach into the green is perched against the hillside. Every shot feels cinematic.
Why we chose it: It’s one of the most memorable tee shots in Washington and brings true “desert golf” variety to the routing.

HOLE 8 — Par 4 (420 Yards)
Chambers Bay — Hole 16
A beautiful slight dogleg right that demands a confident tee shot to the left side of the fairway to open up the approach. Miss left, and you’re safe with room to run the ball in. Miss right, and you’re fighting slopes and bunkers all the way home.
The hole plays dramatically differently depending on wind — sometimes gettable, sometimes a grind. Add in the classic train tracks and the sweeping Puget Sound backdrop, and you get one of Chambers’ most photogenic corridors.
Why we chose it: It's Chambers Bay. Enough said.

HOLE 9 — Par 5 (585 Yards)
Wine Valley — Hole 18
One of the strongest finishing holes in the Pacific Northwest, period. The tee box sits at the highest point on the entire golf course, giving you sweeping views of Walla Walla, the surrounding wheat fields, and the wide-open landscapes of Eastern Washington. It’s a breathtaking place to start a hole — and the golf itself lives up to the view.
Wine Valley’s 18th blends width, wind, and thoughtful design into a par 5 that rewards decision-making at every stage. The fairway encourages aggressive lines, but the approach into the green is all about angles and precision. The green complex is brilliant — subtle, sloping, and perfectly tied into the natural contours of the land.
Why we chose it: A dramatic, scenic, and strategic closer — and the ideal way to finish our Dream-18 front nine.
